It's June '67. At a modern West London tower block, Gary is full of hope and passion for a new community. Next door, his neighbour Windrusher Winston is determined to build a better life for his family. But outside this shining monument to multiculturalism the country is already changing. What are both men ready to do to shake their claim in the bricks that hold them up?

A sweeping state-of-the-nation play running from 1967 to the 14th June 2017, BRICKS is the tale of one tower block. It is a tale of community and social housing, a tale of what brings us together and what tears us apart and a cry of hope for a country still searching for the angels of its better nature.

BRICKS was developed on the Old Vic 12 scheme and was shortlisted for the Alfred Fagan Award.
